File eight SEC groups set to host NCAA regionals

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — A document eight Southeastern Convention baseball packages had been chosen amongst 16 regional hosts for the NCAA Baseball Event, based on an announcement Sunday by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.

The earlier document was seven SEC hosts in 2016 and 2021.

The eight SEC faculties named as NCAA Regional hosts are Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. They’re scheduled to start play within the NCAA Event this Friday, June 2.

The total 64-team subject waas introduced on Monday, and likewise included from the SEC Texas A&M and Tennessee.

The opposite eight hosts are Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Indiana State, Miami, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Virginia and Wake Forest. Every regional will consist of 4 groups enjoying in a double-elimination format.

Regional winners will advance to best-of-three Tremendous Regionals, with these eight winners advancing to the Faculty World Sequence in Omaha.

Vanderbilt gained the SEC Event on Sunday with a 10-4 victory over Texas A&M within the championship sport. Arkansas and Florida gained 20 SEC video games and had been named SEC champions on the finish of the common season.
